Uso da Análise Fatorial para geração de Índice de Maturidade em Governança de TI no Governo do Estado de São Paulo

High investments needed by Information Technology (IT) require accuracy and alignment with organizational strategies as well as responsibility from all areas of the organization. This scenario brought importance to Information Technology Governance (ITG) in public and private organizations management in recent years. This research used secondary data from Sao Paulo State Departments and used factorial analysis to generate a factorial score to be used as an indicator of the ITG maturity level of State Departments in this study. Results showed that approximately 40% of departments studied presented low ITG maturity levels, with factorial scores below 1 (on a scale from 0 to 5).
